The Premier League Manager of the Month for August is Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal.

Arteta was named the winner by Arsenal on their website on Friday.

To win the prize, the Spaniard outperformed Pep Guardiola of Manchester City, Antonio Conte, Graham Potter, and Marco Silva.

Arsenal issued a statement congratulating Mikel Arteta and his staff on being named the Premier League’s Manager of the Month for August.

“We won all five of our games in August, scoring 13 goals while only giving up four. In order to finish the month at the top of the table, our manager guided us to victories over Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Bournemouth, Fulham, and Aston Villa.

“Mikel is our second manager in Premier League history to win his first five games. During the Invincibles era of 2003–04, Arsene Wenger set this record in two consecutive seasons.

The boss has now received three Manager of the Month awards after winning it twice in the previous campaign in March and September. He triumphed over Graham Potter, Marco Silva, Pep Guardiola, Antonio Conte, and others this time.

When Arsenal visits Brentford on Sunday, Arteta will be hoping for a return to winning ways in the Premier League for his team.

Arsenal’s unbeaten streak was snapped after winning their first five league games following a 3-1 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
