Kwara United starts selling tickets for their CAF Confederation Cup match against Douanes of Niger

Tickets for Kwara United Football Club of Ilorin’s CAF TotalEnergies Confederation Cup match against AS Douanes of Niger Republic have set prices.

The match is slated to take place on Sunday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, according to the Club’s general manager, Bashir Badawiy, who made this announcement to reporters on Friday.

He claims that there are three different ticket types: Very Very Important Person (VVIP), Very Important Person (VIP), and Popular Side.

While the popular side costs N500, the VVIP costs N3,000 and the VIP N1,000.

He added that the players are in good spirits ahead of the important game and that preparations were underway to ensure a smooth game.

The first leg of the first round match between AS Douanes of the Niger Republic and Lagos was scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

On September 18, the second leg match will take place at the Général Seyni Kountché Stadium, Stade Municipal de Niamey, Niger.

Berkane, a Moroccan team that is the current Confederation Cup champion, will play the winner of the two legs.

Kwara United FC has participated in the CAF Cup three times, in the seasons of 1999–2000 and 2006–2007. This is their third appearance.

United was predicted, along with Remo Stars FC of Ogun, to represent the nation in the Confederations Cup after finishing fourth in the NPFL season of 2021–2022.
